  • Apply a cool compress to the treatment area (do not apply ice directly to the skin) regularly on the day of treatment.

  • Avoid any heat inducing activities for 24 hours such as strenuous exercise, spas, saunas and hot showers.

  • Avoid pressure on the area for the first 48 hours (sleep on your back if possible, no face down massages).

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.

  • Avoid active cosmeceutical products (AHAs, retinols, vitamin C) and oil based makeup for 24 hours)

  • Use a topical treatment to soothe and calm the skin such as Bepanthen or Arnica cream. Use this 3 time/day for the next 7 days.

  • Avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels, skin needling, microdermabrasion, IPL or laser treatments for 2 weeks after treatment.

Pain Relief

  • Pain associated with dermal filler treatment is usually mild, however there are some areas, such as lips and chin can be moderately painful. Pain relief such as paracetamol may be taken as directed by your injector. Aspirin should be avoided.

Bruising Relief

  • Patients who regularly take aspirin, fish oil or other medications associated with increased bruising may find their risk increased. There are several over the counter treatments for bruising available such as Arnica, Bruderm and Hirudoid.

 

Book in for your 2 week follow up, which is highly recommended for a positive outcome. 

Your treatment will take 4-7 days to start working and will take up to 2 weeks to see the final results. 

Adjustments can be made and additional units may be required at your follow up appointment at an additional cost.
